Multiple experts and scientists including @trishgreenhalgh, @mtosterholm, @Globalbiosec, @DFisman, @jeremyphoward and more have published peer reviewed literature proving the efficacy of masks and other Non-Pharmaceutical Interventions (NPIs) in the fight against COVID-19. Cochrane reviews alone are not enough to properly assess the effectiveness of NPIs, according WHO guidelines. Furthermore, EBM is a subordinate epistemology to empirical physics and evidence should not be solely determined on the statements of powerful people. In addition, elastomeric respirators and PAPRs are needed in certain situations even if these items have not been tested in a RCT. Lastly, experts have warned about the potential dangers of variants and the need for more attention to the issue.
