The anti-corruption NGO Arappor has filed a complaint to the Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, the Chief Secretary Irai Anbu, and the Commissioner concerning officials stalling vigilance inquiries into corruption cases. They have given a complaint since October 2022, however there has been no action taken yet. Stone quarry extraction in a Panayankurichi village and inaction of the Sub Registrar and quarry owner were highlighted. There were also instances of abuse of power by the officials in denying agricultural subsidies to farmers. The NGO is fighting against these issues and demanding action from the CM of Tamil Nadu M.K Stalin.
