An Indian Air Force C-17 aircraft recently brought the second batch of 12 Cheetah aircraft from South Africa and has also invited Indian industry to help in the development and manufacturing of the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft. The Indian Navy also plans to develop another Indigenous Aircraft Carrier and has set out to acquire 500 additional fighter aircrafts. European defence majors Airbus and Thales have announced recruitment plans, while the Indian government is expected to sign MoUs worth 75,000 crores with 809 companies. Lastly, a Avro 748 aircraft was sighted at the Aero India 2023 show.
