الملخص
ECB, BoE Research, and King’s Business School are organizing a meeting in 2023 and have called for papers focusing on nontraditional data and analytical methods. Two papers are available at the IMF Economic Review. Another paper discusses FX markets in extreme situations. Recent discussions have criticized BoE research for failing to understand the limited coverage of flood RE. There have also been political choices to extend Flood Re to expensive houses and exclude most flats. Structural vector autoregression (VAR)models have been employed by central banks, and sign restrictions use correlation and narrative restrictions to identify drivers. there have also been conversations on recession not being captured by two quarters of contraction in aggregate economic activity. Today, self-assessment receipts hit record levels and there is slight growth in the UK economy.
