The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi inaugurated the Aadi Mahotsav Tribal Festival at Major Dychand Stadium in Delhi on February 16th, 2023 in the presence of Union Minister Arjun Munda. The festival showcased the culture, art, cuisine, handicrafts and traditional art of 28 states and union territories with over a thousand tribal artisans and artists in attendance. Abhaya Foundation provided uniforms to tribal school children in Hyderabad and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu had their products showcased. SCSTTRI and OMBADC organized a 10-day training on product design and diversification for date palm leaf crafts.
