Heterodox Academy (HdxAcademy) has launched multiple initiatives to promote viewpoint diversity, open inquiry, and academic pluralism in academia. In 2021, a new Center for Academic Pluralism was opened in NYC that offers post-doctoral and visiting faculty positions. Additionally, a writers' retreat was formed to help scholars produce research for popular outlets. There is also research being conducted into understanding identity-based bias, reflexivity statements in research, and the dangers of trigger-warnings.
