A*STAR's new AI research initiative is holding a Zoom call to present work on geometric GNNs. ICYMI, there is a talk on the expressive power of geometric graph neural networks on YouTube. Researchers from A*STAR and NUS have developed m6Anet, a software that uses direct Nanopore RNA sequencing data and multiple-instance learning (MIL) to accurately detect m6A. There is a joint PhD position with UoM Graphene, UoM Physics, and A*STAR IMRE on photonics with atomic-scale 2D channels. There is also a PhD project with Gloria Lopez-Castejon and Lydia Tabernero to study the role of ATP sensing receptors during lung infections. Lastly, there is a review on thermal interface materials published by A*STAR researchers and Simon Newstead is a founding partner at BetterBiteVC and a plant-based food company and vegan fashion brand. Dr. Kelvin Ng is the CSO at Bloom8, a global venture capital firm investing in food tech companies. There is also a talk at Cell Symposia on neurometabolism and AI predicting presence of m6A with data collected from certain universities.
