EU President Charles Michel, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali, and President Sahle-Work Zewde of Ethiopia had good talks on the broader EU-Ethiopia relations, emphasizing lasting peace and the Cessation of Hostilities, along with nuclear non-proliferation, disarmament and the CTBT, gender imbalance, and justice in Tigray. They discussed the importance of achieving justice and allowing access to the International Commission on Human Rights to assist with justice and lasting peace in Tigray. The report on Education in Africa was launched, and Irirsamale Community lobbied for an Irirsamale state of Ethiopia while the Isaaq Garxajis community discussed tribal unity. The AU and Ethiopia leaders reaffirmed commitment to empower women in agriculture. Lastly, the refrain of the African Union was echoed with the phrase that "the tongue does not decay".
