Toronto police superintendent Rick Shank was charged with manslaughter and aggravated assault after killing two Black men in the 1990s. Following a criminal investigation on Feb 10th, a male was arrested and charged and the SIU was notified. In another incident, a 15-year old boy brandishing a knife was struck with a non-lethal firearm and the SIU is in charge. There has been no reporting on this and the Canadian way of dealing with police and political predators is criticized. The SIU is criticized for being made up of ex-cops.
