The Maldives government has recently been involved in different activities related to religion; some examples are providing a QR code in Baibil for scanning, sending at least one detainee to Mafushi on a drug case who began praying and leading his cell as Imam, having 1500 politicians pledge muslim faith, and providing fatwas or opinions.
