A variety of experts are exploring different ways to improve endoscopy training via new publications. There is a fee to submit abstracts which can be a barrier to research talent from lower income countries. The right combination of caution and the right tools is necessary for moving forward. There is a study which indicates that sleeping on the left side is as effective as medication for acid reflux. Abstract submissions should be free and reviewers should be blinded. Pass-fail medical school grading disadvantages students from smaller schools who may not have access to research supervisors. People need access to reliable rapid testing in order to assess their own risk and avoid lockdowns.
